The Cannon Free Library’s exciting All Together Now summer reading program begins with a bang and a brush at 3pm on Wednesday, July 5 when children will be invited to paint mini canvas masterpieces. These works of art will then on display, ‘all together’ on mini easels.
On Thursday, July 6, it’s time for a return of the Dirtmeister! Come for the presentation, where Steve ‘Dirtmeister’ Tomececk will “demystify science while making it also fun and engaging.” The show will begin at 3pm.
Meet a Delhi Firefighter at the library at 10:30 am on Tuesday, July 11, and come back for Lego Club that afternoon at 3:00.
Popular children’s author Tracey West will entertain us with stories from the books in her Dragon Masters series on Tuesday, July 18 at 3pm. Bring your Dragon Master books for her to sign! There will also be the opportunity to purchase new books and have them signed.
10:30 toddler/preschool storytimes with music, movement, stories and a craft project will take place on Thursday, July 6, Tuesday, July 18 and Thursday July 20. Crafternoon fun is on the schedule for Wednesday, July 12 and Wednesday, July 19, 3pm.
The library’s regular adult programs will continue through the summer and share the All Together Now theme: Knitting group on Wednesdays at 10:00, Mahjong on Thursdays from noon until 4:00, Chess from 5:00 until 7:00 on the first Thursday of the month, Writers’ group on the second Wednesday of the month at 1:00 and Book Club on Wednesday, July 19 at 1:00.
