Delaware Academy, 1939, Time Capsule Event
Saturday, May 8th
On Saturday May 8th, 2021 Delaware Academy will sponsor a once in a lifetime event on the Courthouse Square in Delhi. Members of the Delaware Academy community will open the time capsule which was created on June 24, 1939. The capsule includes several important items to the history of Delaware Academy and will certainly be of interest to alumni and community members alike. This event is a part of the Village of Delhi’s Year- long Bicentennial Celebration.
The event will begin at 1pm on the Courthouse Square. Several school groups will be represented with different booths and activities for everyone to enjoy. At 2 pm, attendees will gather at the gazebo to view the opening of the time capsule. All community members are invited to participate in this memorable event. For those who cannot attend in person, the event will be live streamed from the Delaware Academy web site. The rain date is Saturday, May 15th at 1pm.
